The Ocular Response Analyzer utilizes a dynamic bi-directional applanation process to provide the worlds first direct measurement of corneal biomechanical properties; Corneal Hysteresis. This new measurement of corneal visco-elastic properties has giving clinicians and researchers information about the overall integrity of the cornea, providing new insights into pathologies such as Keratoconus and Glaucoma.
In addition, because of its unique ability to quantify corneal biomechanical properties, the Ocular Response Analyzer is also able to present IOPcc: a new measure of intraocular pressure that is less effected by corneal properties, such as elasticity, resistance, and thickness.
Ocular Response Analyzer: "Understand the Cornea. Understand the Pressure."
